My research looks at how the expansion of Internet access in the Global South, and amongst women, is approached by governments, companies and civil society. I am conducting case studies in South Asia that explore what Internet access means in different contexts, how governance varies, and the work of activists in negotiating amongst the actors involved. Some related work I have done can be found here and here.
